YOUR NEXT FREE MOVIE AT THE HERTFORD CLUB

We're turning back the clock this September at the Hertford Club to bring you Scandal, Michael Caton-Jones' 1989 dramatisation of the events surrounding the infamous Profumo Affair of 1963, when revelations about Secretary of State for War John Profumo's relationship with a London call girl, and its implications for national security at the height of the Cold War brought Harold Macmillan's government to its knees.
Promoted on its cinematic release as 'The Most Controversial Film of The Year", Scandal paints a vivid picture of the exotic nightlife of early 1960s London, earning it an 18 certificate. Driven by a stylish screenplay and compelling performances from the star-studded cast, this complex and intriguing drama is certain to engage a whole new audience in 2010.
This widely-acclaimed movie will be available on DVD for the first time in the UK from September 6th, a mere 21 years after its theatrical debut! We're very pleased to have secured a copy from the distributor ahead of the official release date.
The original American theatrical trailer is very much of its time:
The club restaurant will be offering a choice of à la carte or special £5 meal deals from 6pm. Telephone 01992 421422 for further details and bookings.
